"The myths and legends in Tales of Sanus mentioned that the land had some period of prosperity under the guidance of wise kings and benevolent queens. There were no concrete evidence to prove those stories were actual history of Remnants. Those wise kings and benevolent queens might only existed within the head of the book's author.
Nonetheless, regardless their accuracy, those stories showed that the land and the people need a leader to prosper. Not a merely leader who can make people obey his words, not also merely loved by their subjects. What they needed, however, is a leader who can become the Light itself, becoming the beacon with the guidance from the God of Light Himself.
Our battle against the encroaching darkness may be endless. There might be some points where we felt our adversaries were too overwhelming; when all hopes were seemingly lost. However, as long as there is a flickering light, no matter how small or faint, the hope shall prevail. It is our duty, the Breton Knights, to protect those lights and hopes in this Age of Darkness. No matter how hopeless it may seemed, no matter how bleak the future looked like, we have to cut the darkness open, allowing the light to traverse into people's heart.
We shall protect the light. We shall become the beacons of light. We shall bring the Light to drive away the darkness.
