Logbook [Top Secret Classified]

Year 1437, around 2nd week of Duolius
There was a rumor about Horrors coming out from a certain church ruins somewhere in Misty Forest. The place was indeed has a thick fog, and fortunately there were several other inquisitors, it seems: Averyn, E, T, and a Slavian guy; each were people of my dream.

On the church ruins we encountered a weird Horror, seemed to be an Undead. It turns out Averyn is an adept spellcaster, E is an agile girl with twin sword, T has a sharp hunch and quite perceptive; T also used several blessed bolts to good effect. The Slavian guy seemed to have a good marksmanship.

It seems we managed to 'seal' the Horror from respawning, although there is an uneasy feeling regarding two matters: who set it lose in the first place, and whether it is safe. The Slavian guy should be covering the box, let us hope that it will be sufficient. Before we left, we met an elven lady named Zowie, who claimed to be a local inqusitors. She recognized 'us' as Independent Inquisitors, so it is possible that Averyn, E, T, and the Slavian guy are also Independent Inquisitors.

As a side note, we found something about '---oir de la Montagne', and its possible relevance to a nearby place called Fortissimo. It is rumored to be dangerous, but unsure on what kind of danger lurks there.

To conclude this log, I'd put the chant of prayer.

Year 1437, around 3rd week of Duolius
It was a pleasant surprise to finally meet another people of that dream, and that so far they are Independent Inquisitors. After several cross-checking from available information from Phoenix, and slowly their statuses are getting clearer. However, something feels not right, thus this information should be kept to myself. Or maybe to them.

Furioso, a halfling, seemed to be the self-named inquisitors from La Eclissi Inquisition. It seems he was there too on the case with Pollo Carrerra.

Averyn is a mysterious girl I have met before during my first tour as Independent Inquisitor. Her mastery over words and litany seemed spectacular so far. And surprisingly, she is also a half-elf; I wonder if she knows more about elven communities too.

E is another mysterious slavic girl. Although there is not enough information, but once I remember she uttered the words of "Scoi Aedh Elle". After several checking, there is an area of Scoi Aedh Elle; and there is Neuschwanstein there, where a wanted criminal under the name of Elena seemed to be member of local Inquisition Order of Whisperers. Rumors regarding Hooded Robins also coincide with her activity in Pollo Carrerra. This is one reason why this note should be kept in safety, and not to be shared easily.

Chloe seemed to be nicknamed Ann, by inquisitor Amery and Amelie, from somewhere. Either that, or Ann is someone else and the person writing was simply wrote a wrong name.

Kovac should be the one helping in recent Horror case in Rio de Cruz. Maybe local pigeon know more about him.

Ar seems to be Arbalest, who has been appearing several times in Mila-ate area.

Mical seemed to be a young inquisitor from the Covenant. A simple cross check revealed that the Covenant is an inquisition of the area called Midlund. Interestingly, according to local rumors, there is a young fencer named Mical of house Fortier, who often disappear. This is another reason why this note should be kept in safety.

Jaune Arc seems to be member of Huntsmen of Remnants, possibly from Remnants of Sanus area. However, there is another Independent Inquisitor sent by the Huntsmen under the name of Raven, whose features and abilities resemble too much of T, or the mysterious girl with striking black hair. I am tempted to ask about them, but something held me off.

There should be other Independent Inquisitors that I should have known, but for now I think it is time to conclude this note.

Year 1437, around 4th week of Duolius
It all begins with a trip towards a meeting point at Sessenau, Bordeaux, where the local inquisition Covenant informed about missing people and possible horror in nearby forest. During this trip, I met with T (whom I am quite sure that she is Raven of Huntsmen), E, Ave, Kovac, and a person I just met and heard Leonovich.

The Covenant has some code but it seems not everyone is playing along quite well. Nevertheless a person named Killian informed about the case to investigate. We encountered a group of blighted plant-humanoid creature, and a curious plant. We took the sample and brought it to Killian.

From the looks of it, there is possibility that Killian is one of the ruling family, possibly a Fortier who reign over Bordeaux. I need to check it later. Also, I witnessed the powerful litany magic from Averyn, E's mobility and deadly slashes, Kovac's markmanship, and T's usual perceptive abilities. Leon seems a good all-rounder.

Year 1437, around 5th week of Duolius
There have been rumors about sightings of purplish fog near certain small village Beelzenia at La Luna Rossa, without activities from local authorities and inquisition Knights of the Moon. En route I met Leonovich, Chloe, Ave, and another girl Olivia. We then traveled together and encountered Tedak, who brought us to Le Ecclissi captain Leonhart; upon which we opted to call him Hart and to call Leonovich as L. As a side note, it seems Chloe also hides something; might it be that her real name is Ann, if she really is the one sent according that letter?

It seems there have been spreading fabled 'Gula' disease where people becomes uncontrollable by hunger. The disease is more like a curse, as Ave once again able to describe it (I forgot who but there should be others who can explain certain points too):

- The disease might be airborne disease.
- The disease works approximately 8 hour, before the disease changed into curse.
- In the 8 hour time-span before the disease changed into curse, spell like lesser restoration and ability like lay on hand works on the victim, and cure it.
- After the 8 hour time span, only intensive treatment/remove curse/anything that can heal curse that might be work.
- When the person contracted with this disease can be alive for a month, assuming that he dones't change to horror already, the curse fades away and the person will be healthy again.
- One time, the disease disappeared, a possible cause is that the horror that spread it defeated.

We then, helped by Tedak from Shadow Parade and the Le Ecclissi (Furioso's inquisition group, if I recall correctly), we performed the ritual. Averyn and Chloe can sing well, thus they focused to sing. Leon and Olivia kept the enemies at bay, utilizing Olivia's clever idea to bait them using ration. I decided to look around for a [crux].

The ritual went smoothly, and the [crux] seemed to be inside untouched pig head: a chalice of some sort. Chloe also heard there was a piglet in a dry well, but others believe that the piglet is unnatural; it drained a fire, and possibly the water of the well. L killed it, and from inside there is a metal shard of similar origin of the Chalice, which was disintegrated when a Horror (whom Chloe said has a voice of a little girl) tried to appear. Hart later told us about the tale of witches who put human vices into something.

There are many unanswered questions here: who are the culprit? Why the pig heads and piglet survived, and whether there is link to the Pig Farm (Baemu, according to Chloe) or not? Who were the witches if they exist, and why did they do that? Who knew and wrote about the ritual? Some are based on ancient legends, but as others said it too, it seems someone is trying to re-enacting the events, and our only hope is to find the rituals to counter the curse, that might be spread across La Luna Rossa or beyond, in the form of we do not know what.

Year 1437, around 2nd week of Trilius
There have been request to investigate a trade route between Donegal and Trifas, regarding certain Horrors and goblinoids. We are to meet a merchant named Carthatch to join the caravan, although there is no details on why we should join him; possibly the inquisition already suspicious of him.

There were also Fayth Haynes of Cerberus Inquis, who seemed to be good at religion lore and social skills; just like her letter of recommendation. Another was Arbalest or Ar, who showed capabilities in both melee and ranged combat.

During the trip, Carthatch turned into Horror suddenly while goblins ambushed; it was quite unclear on what was going on, since we caught unaware of the so many weird conditions such as the horses and teamsters are under mind-influencing effect, and the sudden breakdown of the people; unclear whether they are merchants or mercenaries.

This also raised question on how were the previous attacks, and whether Carthatch is the culprits so far or just another victim. Further, how can the local inquisition can know which merchant to attach to. It is also assumed that normal trips are not affected, just the caravan for supplies, since it seems communication between Donegal and Trifas was not utterly cut.

Again as usual, this task left us with more questions than we have answers.

Year 1437, around 3rd week of Trilius
My next stop was the tavern near Fortissimo, to meet with Zowie, and investigate a certain building. It is rumored that it might have some links to the place of L'espoir de la Montagne, a fallen kingdom of some sort, at the area, due to great fire and Horror attacks.

As previously there was also Averyn, whose full name was Averyn Safyre. According to records at home, she is a member of Seeker, a group possibly linked to the area of Elle Loise somewhere at Frozen North. As usual, she used her powers of litany to alter the flow of combat to our advantage. It seems Averyn herself came from a respectable family, or well educated sages.

There is also another Slavian from Vallachia named Zaitsev. From the record of an interview, it seemed he joined to hunt Horrors personally, and to prevent its spreading corruption. He used his tall posture as vantage point to maximize the destructive power of his heavy crossbow, it seemed.

A peculiar young boy of notable angevin lineage but with Castellano dialect also participated; he looks very boyish: naive, loud, relatively predictable, unrefined. Rodenmark Livingstone seemed to be the popular noble boy from Tír na nÓg who left to search for his sister, and from the rumors it seemed he is very down-to-earth and loved by his subjects. Unfortunately, there have been no rumors on Tír na nÓg at our base yet. Regarding his ability, he can cast several magic and wield a longsword quite well. His speed is comparable to E, darting in and out as he pleases.

On the mission itself, Zowie showed enthusiasm, but also listened when we requested to retreat due to many unknown factors in our mission. She do not mind that we need to better prepare ourselves before venturing deeper, and seemed not disappointed although we only managed to secure few objectives.

Year 1437, around 3rd week of Quattrolius
The first time I visited Torgov of Vorostokov, and along the way I met Mical, Chloe, L, Olive, along with three locals: Vie, Cer, and Pil. I am uncertain about their relationship, but it seemed some of them are recent addition to the Torgov.

We were greeted by the soldiers of Boyar Emhyr von Emre, who acted like market thug. It seemed they were hunting the remnants of Melbont, and hated Inquisitions so much. It is unsure on the cause of the enmity.

Leon, Olive, and Chloe proved to be very adept at negotiation, and we de-escalated the situation a bit and able to force them to leave, for now. Alas, it seemed they do not give up and continue to harass Torgov, kidnapping Cer. Vie showed weird emotion (in addition to extremely bizarre vulnerability to heat).

We then decided to help Cer first, since it might be en route to dealing the Horror. We found Cer and Boyar's men, and after a very short skirmish, the Horror appeared and we fought together. During the fight, Mical showed what Skald magic is, and he utilized it to empower his fencing too. Chloe has a peculiar way of magic, by fusing it with her unique crossbow. Both of them also capable of some healing magic, and seemed to be people of higher status. Olive has a strange magic too, while Leon also showed an intimated way to rouse people from unconsciousness. Leon also seemed to be very interested to help Torgov further, by persuading the soldiers to stay away from Boyar, or at least focusing on Horrors as common enemy.

The interesting parts are Vie and Cer themselves. It seems they hold more things that might be related to Boyar, Melbont, and van Houten, based on their reactions and time table. It seems these personages will play a bigger role in Vorostokov for months to come.

Year 1437, around 4th week of Quattrolius
There were rumors about strange activities of previously greedy villagers that they started giving out extreme charities near the town of Vigo, Midlund. During my visit, I met with Fayth or Fay, Ar, and Zayt. Further, I met two new people under the name of Bridgitte von Bernstein and Malbert. A quick crosscheck revealed several disturbing facts. Brid was someone sent by The Vigil, an inquisition group of Scoi Aedh Elle, but it seems different from Elena's. And from a quick skimming, there is a hint of conflict between the two groups. Meanwhile, Mal came from a house of Inquisitor which somehow the name might match with MELBONT, an inqusition House from Vorostokov. I should keep in mind to speak carefully regarding these matters, and also further reasons to be very careful with these notes.

Marion and Mical seemed to be our contacts, who briefed us about the condition. Along the way, we met people who took advantage of the villagers' situation. We then continue to investigate further, and found out the source: corrupted burial ground of some sort. After a quick battle to deal with the Horror corrupting the burial ground, an extremely suspicious character under the name of Silas appeared; lacking of goodwill nor clarity, it seemed everyone of us suspicious. Its nature of alive-and-not-alive itself hinted that it is not human anymore, and I will not be surprised if it is just an empty shell of armor or a magically moved armor from afar.

We then reported to Marion and now there was K instead of Mical, including about Silas, and about the prophecy Silas told. Since it seems they know about Silas too, I decided that it is their local problem and I should not interfere too much, and focused to alleviate the recent tragedy befallen to the citizens of Vigo and the nearby village instead. Fortunately, many of them still have the light inside their heart.

Year 1437, around 5th week of Quattrolius

It has been awhile since I had the time to make notes regarding my journeys as Independent Inquisitors. The events have long passed, but nevertheless I need to pen them down, since there have been important findings regarding a certain area.

As usual, Zowie gathered us at a tavern near Fortissimo. There were Mark, Ave, Ar, and Malbert too. We were to investigate a merchant of the Fortissimo city, regarding possible Horror influence. The city itself feels like a den of scum and villainy, with the disrespectful gate guards but it seems it is a given. We entered and decided to first gather information and rumors, with Ar obtaining local guard uniform.

We entered the mansion afterwards with the help of internal agent who disguised as maid. Myself, Ave, and Mark also dressed up as maid for the mission, while Ar and Mal as city guard. Quick investigation pointed out that the father Giordano was poisoned, just like other murdered merchants, and the culprit seemed to be Dio Giordano. It seems his ambition took the best of him. Long story short, Dio Giordano did not survive the corruption, and we handled the Horror from him. Afterwards, we fled.

Year 1437, around 1st week of Quintilius
It was during this time that I have direct influence from the Horrors. I kept hearing whispers, about it is not my fault, over and over again. It seemed that everyone realized about it, but I think--- Leon and Averyn really understood my predicament.

There have been several notes regarding Orleans. It seemed the Castille lineage is pushed to banditry, or so the stereotyping dictates. Nevertheless, there is a certain type of creatures called Grimm; often seen with Horror nearby, but not the other way around.

The curious part is, about a tied rope used to tie someone or something. A victim was shred by wounds of possible Grimm. One plausible explanations that crossed my mind, the tied someone or something turned into a ghostly Horror we fought, which at the same time summoned or created Grimm that killed the victim.

Minor notes would be regarding the brutal behaviors of bandits, but I might need to clarify this later since I was still influenced by the otherworldly whispers, more or less.

Year 1437, around 3rd week of Quintilius
For this time, it was not the mission nor task that is curious. It was our accumulated information that is very interesting. There were Chloe, L, Ave, and Olive; all of them are sharp or observant and decisive. We did a short escort mission, which ended up saving Vie and Cer.

At the end of the day, we had a long sharing and discussion, regarding Torgov and Vorostokov in general. We shared our suspicions on Vie, that he might be something inhuman. Chloe told us that Vie's mouth tasted like blood. Vie also have a superhuman strength and resilience, with weird vulnerabilities to heat.

I hope Ave or Olive had a better recap, since they seemed diligent and caring enough to take notes and make conclusions, while Chloe and Leon were very sharp in their observance.

Nevertheless, I also shared my assumption regarding Malbert might be one of the Melbont inquisitors to them.

Year 1437, around 5th week of Quintilius
This time I visited Firelink village at Frozen North, where the snow and cold persisted. There were Raven (T), Mark, Mical, and Zayt as well. Apparently this area is the home of Ave's inquisition group, possibly The Seeker.

We were to investigate a purplish figure in the woods, coincided with a certain meat thefts. Turned out the culprit might be a rogue and his companion, a huge dog with the name of Noom. We defeated them and buried them, and reported to Vaal. It seems the area is related to Elle Loise, and it seemed there are more hidden tales of the area, including the legend of the Crown.

On a sidenote, Mark seemed to be an enjoyable companion, although T and I might have treated him more of a pet. Mical showed capabilities of support magic. These two youngsters might be powerful allies if they have matured well. I am not sure about Mark with his behavior though, it seemed that his demeanor will stay just the way he is, for better or worse.

Year 1437, around 1st week of Septilius
During this time period I visited the Sanus Remnants once again, regarding a certain situation there. There were Leon, Mical, Ave, and Zayt. Joan Arc was also there, already geared for combat. It seems they, the Knights of Orleans, are on another mission; presumably for routing up bandits. We were to investigate a purplish happening, as well as witness who uttered 'goat'. Forest Rangers were helping too, under the name of Ruby, and other eccentric figure.

Ruby guided us to the settlement, and after quick browsing through the settlement we concluded several assumptions; Ave and the others seemed to be able to predict the possible enemy, and we spotted a certain hooded blonde in a village of Angevin. I personally have a hunch that she might know something that no one else know, although I cannot tell for sure.

Nevertheless, we managed to put down the Horrors and re-enacted the ritual to put the seal back properly. The seal seemed to be broken by someone or some group, and it seems a deliberate break. However, we can only make wild guesses on who did it or why did they do that.

Back in the Orleans, we witnessed a bit on the conflict between the Knights and the Bandits. It seems the problems of the Remnants are as complicated as other places.

Year 1437, around 2nd week of Septilius
Zowie once again continued the exploration of haunted house, to seek the tunnels. There were only Mical and Jaune Arc aside myself, so we had in tight resources since the very beginning.

The exploration was well enough, with Zowie performed as good as usual, thanks to Mical's spell too. I witnessed Jaune's sword often shine brightly and looked explosive; however due to my miscalculations, we were in a very near death situation. I felt like I took a gamble and lost terribly. Jaune lost most of his equipment at the house, I sincerely hope he would be able to reclaim them one day.

Meanwhile, finally Zowie shared about the tale of L'espoir de la Montagne. It was a kingdom, or city, of Aquitaine; a once great place that was ruined and reclaimed by Castille Bandits, and changed it into Fortissimo. The loyalists and previous nobles seemed to form the Inquisition of the area.

Unfortunately, it seemed that the Inquisition took the charade of a brothel house of some sort, Qui Vivra Verra. It seems I need to be very careful when heading there.

Year 1437, around 3rd week of Septilius
There have been rumors regarding another excess virtue problems at Midlund, just like before. This time it is near Sessenau, so there was Killian. The Independent Inquisitors were Jaune, Leon, Ave, and Zayt.

We investigated the village and found out there was a tablet with 'Patientia', and as before it was tainted, possibly deliberately. Silas did not appear, and Killian used Holy Water only on the tainted part after we defeated the Horrors. Afterwards, Jaune and Leon worked hard to track and convince the otherwise delinquents to be a respectable mercenaries, currently needed by the villages of Midlund to deal with Goblin problems.

As a side note, it seems Killian and Silas are of different 'faction', although one can only guess the relation.
