Overview
People of Remnants might seemed to mind their own business. However, it does not necessarily mean they did not know of each others. Rather, people of Remnants might knew a lot about other people around them; otherwise they won't be able to share rumors and gossips freely if everyone is a stranger to them. However, most population of Remnants does not aware that between them, exists of people who secretly fights and snuffs out the Horrors, to protect the humanity.
These people called themselves as Huntsmen, the Inquisition in Remnants of Sanus.
A Huntsman or Huntress spend their daily lives as a normal resident in Remnants. They could be the silent Forest Ranger, or known as a knight in Orleans, or traveling the area as merchant, or working as laborers in that workshop, or being that loud and rowdy porter, or just a drunkard loser, or perhaps simply known as someone's neighbour.
However, whenever they heard or saw the signs of Horrors' presence around them, these Huntsmen and Huntresses will make sure to leave no stone unturned until those dreaded presence gone. If one failed and never return, the other will continue until the Horrors were uncovered and exorcised.
It was said that in the distant past, Inquisitions in Remnants were scattered and separated small groups; each acting by their own. Conflicts between groups who claimed to be the Inquisitions were common, and it was said the clashes between those groups took more Inquisitors lives than the clashes against Horrors and authorities combined. The unification of Inquisitions in Remnants was coined to prevent further conflicts between them by the first Grandmaster, and thus, the Huntsmen were formed.
Organization
The organization structure of the Huntsmen was quite simple. A Grandmaster acted as the leader of the Inquisition, overseeing the whole activities of the Huntsmen. The Grandmaster had several Masters who helped them to oversee the Huntsmen activity in major settlements. Then, the rest of the Inquisition consisted of Huntsmen and Huntresses as the agents of Inquisition, and Disciples which equivalent of the Inquisition cadres.
Currently, Ozpin is the Grandmaster Huntsmen of Remnants. He led the Inquisition with other two known Masters, each overseeing the Huntsmen, Huntresses, and Disciples in Vale and Mistral. There was no Master in Orleans, with unknown reason as the Grandmaster didn't tell more regarding this matter. Nonetheless, there were few Huntsmen and Disciples standing by in the town, ready to hunt the Horrors as well as sending news to the Inquisitions of the two other cities.
With the initiation of Independent Inquisitors, the Huntsmen had established another rank in their organization, which is called the Journeyman. As per the agreement, these Journeymen were coming from the newly initiated Huntsmen, in accordance to 'young' and 'inexperienced' prerequisites for the Independent Inquisitors. It was said the Journeymen were personally selected by Grandmaster Ozpin himself.
