Overview of Vallachia Province
Power Structure and Laws
Lord Mircea III, Voivode of Vallachia
Beside the central power, each settlements have their own leader act as [mayor] or [village head]. These leaders have their own characteristic based on their places.
Laws and rules at Vallachia are very strict. They made by Voivode himself and other important figures. If compared to the previous Voivode, now it's actually more just and forgiving. As before you can get yourself impaled at the Forest of Death from many kind of crimes. Now that punishment preserved only for the worst crimes. The strict rules make the crime rate at Vallachia rather low, at least at the surface. Each settlements sometimes also have their own additional rules. This rules made by it's important figures and it shouldn't opposing or contradictory with central rules.
Geography
The Province of Vallachia spread from small area at more humid and warm region in Misty Forest to more wide area that reach the mountain range at the Frozen North. Some settlement spreading across the area, with outposts placed at the province's borders guarding from possible invaders and threats.
The Voivode's residence, [Vran] Castle located around the center of the province, the Capital City Flămâcova, standing firm in the frozen hill, with frozen mountain as it's background. The hill make a good protection againts enemies that might come from below them. And the mountain, people might think twice before passing them, many will choose to turn around the mountain rather that die pitifully with no ones other than the snow to make their graveyard. At the nearest hill of the castle, there's a lifeless forest, The Forest of Death, with many stakes with corpses of peoples at the tip that already frozen or only remain of bones, standing as reminder, about previous ruler and his execution method.
The settlements across the area connected by some roads. This road isn't free of it's threats. As there many thick forest, home of many who knows what lies inside there. This many routes also what connecting the small area in Misty Forest so the food supply from there can be distributed to the more wide area in Frozen North region.
Commodity
Crops, vegetables, and many dairy products distributed from the small area at Misty Forest region. The farmers in this area working hard each days to support those many settlements in wide area of Frozen North.
The people that reside in harsh climate at north tend to get their foods from hunting. Hopefully each day they can catch a big game for themself or their family. Some of them also grow tough beast like ox for meat, clothes, and labor.
Other than food, there's also many source of materials in the area. The woods at evergreen forest and mining site for metal and boulders across the mountain. The problem is how to get them. The forest was quite dangerous for many time with it's inhabitant and the long time of night make it worse. The mining site location make it quite hard for the miners and to transporting the materials. Folks desperately getting their job done to support the infrastructure and one of the most important thing, weapons to fight with the threats and horrors.
Demographic
Slavic lineage can be seen more often in the North, while Angevin lineage usually reside in Southern part. Aquitaine are quite rare, unless in Capital City Flămâcova. While Castille lineage and other non human non elf races usually very rare or nonexistent in this area.
Elf is quite rare, but they can still be found in some area. Mostly they can be found at rural settlements. They struggle with their life, work mostly as hunter, and sell the extra meat they can found to get the other necessity. Different with Elves's crossbreed offsprings, the Half Elf. Most of them work at red light district, either at their own will or forced to. Their infertile nature make them a good choice mainly from woman customer. Few of them that didn't, either they reject that common fate or they that already got fate at their hand.
The folks at Northern region usually always have at least one fully closed warm clothes that they rarely put it off aside when traveling to the Southern region. They that usually traveling between the Frozen North and Misty Forest usually a merchant, mercenary, or soldier. People at the Frozen North area while not working tend to stay inside the building to keep their warmth, either with liquor or 'warm bed'.
Military
Many number of Vallachian soldiers usually spreaded around the borders of the province, with still many of them ready to defend the main castle. Their task usally to watch around the borders regarding threats and intruders.
Soldiers that spread across the province held responsibility to Voivode. While there [Watcher] or [High Ranking Soldier] in each [placement] to take command and responsibility of other soldiers. Aside from soldiers, each settlements usually have their own militias that work side by side, or independently with those soldiers depend on the places.
Vallachian infantery usually wield a polearm for weapon, They utilize it's reach to keep the enemy at bay. And also with their easier to make and not too expensive materials, it can be produced quite a numbers even with less metal and blacksmith in the area.
Other main weaponries that usually common to the place are crossbows. Crossbows more commonly used againts threats and at battle while common bow usually used for huntings. Even with more complex mechanism than ordinary bow, their devastating power and compatibility with blessed bolt for Inquisitors is what make them as choice.
Other than common soldiers, there's still many kind of man at arms that roaming the cruel environment of the area. Mercenaries, Inquisitors, Hunters, and many more. They specialize in their expertice and specialize in their own choice of weaponries. These people roaming the area, either waiting for uncertain fate to get a job or indpendently doing their 'passion'.
Inquisitors
There is some factions of Inquisitors across the province that might be recorded. Some of those factions was in alliance with the central government. They take part in the previous Voivode, Lord Mircea II's order to rout out 'evil' and joining in the impalement of many people at the Forest of Death. After the retirement of Lord Mircea II, there's rumour of factions that separating themself from the government alliance.
Other factions run their jobs independently from the governor. Hide behind the shadow or just avoid unnecessary exposure, some of them believing that peoples can't avoid corruption, so does the government. They avoid being bound to the government for their beliefs and many other reasons.
Merchants, Miners, and peoples that often work by traveling between places usually know and might be acquaintance with some of Inquisitors. As their life was basicaly in more danger of horros on their way when traveling without the security of those Inquisitors.
