Chapter 2Year 1437, 3rd Week of Sextilius Until: January 27th

CrescendoYou woke up in the darkness.Something shackled you. It feels as if either a grinding gears interlocking one another and forcing your movement, many writhing thorny and slimy tentacles, or a flaming chain reeking of sulfurs and hellfire. You attempted to break free from whatever binding you, but instead it forces you to move according to its whim. You tried to call out to the dark void spreading towards any direction. But not even an echo can be heard answering your plea. Then you heard some sounds. Approaching sounds. Then you see people. Many people. Some you might know. Some you might not know. You tried to shout again, but something deep within your heart held you. Then you see the people, all are moving according to the whatever frame they have, just like you are being moved by your binding frame. Then a loud crack, or a loud hiss, or a loud clank, echoed. You broke free, and instinctively took a step away towards the dark void. Then a few step away, one step at a time. One step at a time, until you realized that you are not breathing. And now you realize, that there are several other people also broke free from their bindings: Woman chained in red flames to a dark cross. Person bound by pale hand chain and silver flame. Interlocking flaming chain buried deep into someone. Kneeling person tied to incomprehensible gears. A woman hung with restraining vines, strangled at neck. Young man tied to strings and interlocking gears. Black garbed masked woman, grabbed by thorny and slimy tentacles. White cube composed various gears with grey haired woman. Woman in torn white dress with purple stain, constricted by otherworldly tentacles. Man held by white slender arms. Naked man chained to the ground in kneeling position. Young blonde boy held like marionette by extremely thin red chain. Clothless woman riding tentacles and thorny tendrils in pleasure. Red haired teenage boy hung at the ankle on a gigantic tree. And many others, with one of them is yourself. You took a glimpse of them. They took a glimpse of you. You know some of them. You had some adventure with them. Then you looked back. You can see some other people, still bound to whatever binding them. Hundreds. Thousands. Uncountable, until void engulfed them and attempted to engulf you. On last, last split seconds, you thought you see some faces more clearly. Or faces you have met. Or faces you knew for long. But this time, you think that you can remember their faces. Maybe. Or at least, soon. They still bound to their despairs. Then you woke up.
StepsYou have decided.The world you knew seemed changing. There have been growing rumors about certain adventurers who braved the dark world of Tenebras Mundi. There have been increasing gossips regarding people from faraway lands visiting. There have been numerous reports between the inquisitions regarding the Independent Inquisitors activities. For better or worse, this first step for a more open world.

Public RumorsThere were reports of several schools of purplish fish seen at an island offshore of Città Capo Calderone. The government sent a group of adventurers to investigate it. Rumors have it that albeit the adventurers have managed to deal with the Horrors, the locales are wiped out. Conflicting gossips appeared too regarding the appearance of The Charming Pirate Drakon Loshad during this period, speculations rose regarding his activity.
Inquisitor's NotesMical, Chloe, Fay, Ms. Safyre, and Olivia have proven to be a major help in investigating and eliminating horror at our area. We are pleased to report that it is thanks to them the area is secure. Further, we also obtained information regarding The Charming Pirate, and a possibility of an unknown mysterious lady.

Public RumorsThere was a rumour about group of travelers visiting town of Trifas, stop at Vanator de Vis Tavern. The said traveler's said to have dinner before depart again and return at tavern around midnight. Some waitress heard a lot of moaning from one of the room of the travelers that happen the whole night.
Inquisitor's NotesIt's reported about camp of goblins that spotted in Forest of the East. There's spotted quite amount of them, their number could be dangerous and can razed a small settlement. It's also reported that they do something with making horrors by doing [vice] repeatedly, and there's already Horrors among them too. It seems there's humans among them conducting the sinful act together, possibility connected with what happen to many cases with horrors disguised as already established merchants. Report from Clock Tower will continued to The Church, the Order that have direct connection to gevernment.

Public RumorsThere was a several nights Midsummer Festival at Rio de Cruz; a village on the Rio Torcido river of Marche of Mila-ate. During the festivities, there was reported the Marques herself made an appearance, with all the glamour and beauty. However, there were also an incident of Horror exorcism. Details were unclear, but rumors about worms that was defeated by fire or grape juice circulated; as well as a group of vigilante heroes consisted of several masked and cloaked people, a young detective with hat, a weird out-of-place Slavian, and two maids; one of the maid is a she-demon with flaming hair, extra ordinary strength, and great resistance to heat.

Session 105: The Shadow (Resolved?)Room2, January 10, Night Area: Remnants of Sanus Start: Week 1 Septilius Set: Week 2 Septilius
Public RumorsRumors about favourite mercenaries of Knights of Orleans had surfaced, as a group consisted of people with some familiar faces took a task which many other mercenaries were not allowed to partake. Some other obscure words stated the group was chosen as one of its member was close with one particular knight.
Regardless the rumors, it was said the purplish fog in Emerald Forest had been vanished once again.
Inquisitor's NotesThe Independents encountered a Horror which tied to a seal that apparently made by the Elven. The investigation revealed that someone was deliberately broke the seal and released the Horror. However, after the Horror was resealed, the Huntress who accompanied the Independents suddenly fell with high fever. Nonetheless, the Independents had performed an excellent performance during this task.
On a side note, an Aquitaine-looking girl was found in the hamlet which filled by Angevin.

Public RumorsThe overly peaceful village have been returned to its original state. Furthermore, the thugs who tried to exploit the village have somehow been converted to the people's cause, for a price. A new mercenary company emerges, known as Viktor's Mercenary Company. According to some rumor, the adventures who responsible in bringing the peace were Averyn Safyre, Jaune Arc, Leonovich, Sil and Zaytsev.

Public RumorsThe haunted house on the hill is now cleared. There are no more strange phenomena happening inside the house, and it is now been rebuilt into another tailor workshop. According to some rumor, four people managed to lift the curse. There is also a rumor that Simone, the previous owner, commits suicide and become the ghost that haunts the area.

Public RumorsThere were sightings of unworldy creatures lurking around in the city at night. There were gossips about unusual women visiting houses at night. Not long afterwards, some moderately wealthy families went bankrupt. Some say it's a curse, some say it's divine punishment. The chronologies are unclear but after sometimes those sightings were no longer seen.
Inquisitor's NotesThe party of Independent Inquisitors solved the case of demonic boar, which turns out to be shapeshifting ability granted by black magic. It's side effects are increasing taints of corruption each shapeshift. The hypothesis is that after certain corruption level, the transformation would become permanent and the practitioner would lose their humanity. The black magic users were successfully apprehended. Session 111: Black The Beast Descend From ShadowRoom4, January 15, Night Area: Remnants of Sanus Start: Week 1 Octolius Set: Week 2 Octolius
Public RumorsRumors said there were sudden infestation of Grimm in Emerald Forest, Remnants of Sanus. The sudden outburst put the Knights of Orleans and Forest Rangers in tight position to defend the Town of Orleans. However, it was said those creatures suddenly just gone after they started to push Orleans' defenses, as if the source was eliminated by unknown force.
Regardless, concerning rumors about safety in Remnants were around, as both Knights of Orleans and Forest Rangers' condition in the aftermath was much left undesired. Injuries, death, and missing personnel plaguing both groups, whose numbers were already small to begin with.
Inquisitor's NotesThe Huntsmen asked for Independent Inquisitors' aid to strike down the source of Grimm's appearances which already spread around the Emerald Forest. Independent Inquisitors under the name of Averyn, E, Leonovich, and Silosse answered the call and eliminated the Horrors which became the source of the Grimm in a deserted village. Huntress Ruby Rose assisted in the effort, but nearly lost her life when the group encountered the Horrors.
It was said the Independent Inquisitors found a tied rope with corrupted fabric, which might held a clue of the Horrors' appearances in the village. Currently, those clues were either held by the Knights of Orleans or the Forest Rangers.

Major RumorsThe Market Fair in Torgov went well, although some trouble occurred when several mirrors suddenly unleashed something frightening! Once again, Torgov should be grateful to the bunch of outsiders who helped them in the horrible times.
Minor Rumorsa.) Merchant earned quite a profit in the fair! Thanks to the intervention of increasing Tax, this will not only influence the merchant and people from Torgov, but also for the Vorostokov.
b.) Locales are not trusting the [Fortune Teller] anymore, with most of them got [BAD] or [VERY BAD] results.
c.) Cer looks like very happy recently, no one really sure why.

Public RumorsThere're numerous rumors of Horror's appearances that fortunately successfully dealt by local inquisition this several months. The information just come out as a rumor recently.
Inquisitor's Notes{Report}
Year 1437, 4th Week of Novemius
We've been visited by two member of Independent Inquisition. Unfortunately, only two of our member that can welcome them as we were quite busy at the time. Their coming is for replying our invitation for some discussion regarding our course of action.
The problem we've at hand is that:
1) The increasing number of Horror appearances in La Luna Rossa put us in bind in how to manage our human resources.
2) Shadow Parade are busy in the midst of investigating Baemu Farm from long before.
3) A high density of undead comes from The Graveyard of La Luna Rossa, Le Eclissi is in the midst of investigation regarding that, possibility of Horror was there.
4) Knight of the Moon is unreliable lately, they're oblivious to the state of La Luna Rossa, they doesn't have a good information network to deal with Horrors quickly.
5) There's chance that Knight of the Moon and Le Eclissi will be on each other throats when Knight of the Moon know the existence of Le Eclissi.
So with that problem in mind, we got opinions from the Independent Inquisitors. Green as they are, they are the only cross-region inquisitor known to men, their experience in handling inquisition in each region might give us insight of how to deal with this predicament. And by the visit, we conclude ourselves to put our faith in Knight of the Moon and will tell them about this whole thing and cooperate with them. As how we're going to do that will be decided later on, one thing for sure we'll share information regarding horror to them by some kind of proxy.
