Elle Loise
{
The Story of Crown Ivory King
}
Long time ago, it was said that this land had prospered so much. Led by the Crown of the Ivory King, the land named Elle Loise was once in a peak state. The land was said to have prospered from the productivity of their vineyards, despite the usual harsh climate of the Elle Loise. It was said that it was all thanks to the "Great Cathedral" the King has built, and said to appease the "Raging Flame" and thus harnessed its powers. The power of the "Raging Flame" that was harnessed by the King was then used to lower the harshness of the climate, and thus the prosperity from the vineyards productivity. The land had prospered ever since, until one day the King suddenly left everything away, leaving everything to Alsanna, who had unbeknownst, found a place at his side. But these, perhaps were events of long ago, and no one even remembers the king's name, and thus the myth, the legend, the fairytale of the Crown of Ivory King.

{Current Situation}
The real current situation of Elle Loise is far harsher than the fairytale tells. Freezing cold temperature has made it nearly impossible, if possible at all, to grow a vineyard agriculture. Most people are struggling to survive against the harsh climate, and there are also these Horrors. There are actually few questionable evidences of the story, like how few successful taverns in the town own a wine cellar, and that "Alsanna" lineage does exist. But, the harshness of truth can't compare to such mere evidences that can be easily objected, and has made the story to be left as a mere myth, and so the people left giving up living in the land of Elle Loise.
But, The Seekers sees the fairytale and the evidences as a small cinch of hope that can grow.
{Inquisition: The Seekers}
Originally established in interest to the story of the Crown of Ivory King, the Seekers aims for the truth of the fairytale, led by the said Alsanna lineage. The most interesting theory that comes out from this community was that the Crown of Ivory King left because of he noticed his own "hollowing" as a price to harness the "Raging Flame", and thus left. Spiced with the King's heroic act, this theory has made a cinch of hope flickers, and is made by the most civilians in Elle Loise as a belief, a kind of religion that the King will finally return to bring prosperity once again to the land, despite of the irreversible "hollowing". For that, the Seekers has become the Inquisition Community in the land of Elle Loise, with its headquarter in the Frozen Cathedral, and by that power, they also govern over the land of Elle Loise.
Seeing how hope has grown in Elle Loise, the Seekers has few Agendas :
- Hides the fact from civilian believers that "hollowing" is irreversible
- Maintain the government of Elle Loise along with the "religion" there
- Researches about the Horrors and "hollowing" further to find more evidence to the theory and find the truth about the legend (and find a way to reverse the "hollowing" if any at all)
- Seeks for the King's proof of existence, and bring Elle Loise back to what the legend has told
And due to circumstances above, The Seekers has decided to isolate Elle Loise, in fear of outsiders might deny the "religion" there, and therefore trust no other Inquisitions. Only few may enter and leave, and also with extremely strict regulations and such. People of Elle Loise are free to enter and leave though, but it is said that no one leaves has ever returned. However, despite of how isolated Elle Loise is, it is said there is one they have sent to know about the other Inquisitions and their Inquisitors...
{The Frozen Cathedral}
A big sacred cathedral said to be build by the Crown of Ivory King. This building serves as the Headquarters of The Seekers, and was one of the myth's proofs of existence. This is also serves as the biggest building in Elle Loise, and being the Headquarter of The Seekers making the area near it to serve as the center of activities.
{The Crown of Ivory King}
The said "protagonist" in the legend of Crown of Ivory King said to have harnessed the "Raging Flame". There is a big painting in the hall of The Frozen Cathedral which depicts a knight with full helm mask, engulfed in red fiery fire, which is then hypothesized as the appearance of the said King, but evidences are too few to rule it out as it is the only painting found in the cathedral, and no other painting or equipments that resembles like the said painting. There is also still no evidence of what the "Raging Flame" is or what it means.
{Alsanna}
Certain lineage that is said to maintain Elle Loise since the King have been gone, and also the one that leads The Seekers, in which the leadership is passed through the lineage. The Alsanna lineage also holds as one of the King's proof of existence, though it is prone to be objected as from few literatures found in the Cathedral, there is only a little that says the name "Alsanna" in it, and can be probably a fraud for beneficial purposes. Therefore those literatures are hidden in secrecy by The Seekers. Instead, some literatures are made up by The Seekers regarding the Alsanna lineage to further put "belief" in its "believers".
{Geography}
The land of Elle Loise is set at the deep Frozen North, with snow as a common sight in all seasons, and the long night that seems to cover almost the entire day. It is also said that sometimes the sun is only visible during the summer, since the costant snow makes it too obscure to perceive the sun, and the surrounding mountains makes Elle Loise more isolated.
{Demography}
Despite of being a big city, the people of Elle Loise is far fewer from what it seems. The most crowded place can be seen is at the arean near the Frozen Cathedral, but even there the usual crowdness is just some kind of a village. It is not rare to see a dead house there, but they are spread evenly across the land, thanks to The Seekers government. The people here are mainly Slavians, with uncommon sight of Aquitanes, and other races are rarely seen. Aquitanes are considered to be of a higher social rank here since they share the same race of the "Alsanna" lineage, while Slavian is a common sight as locals here. Other races, however, are seen to be peculiar in the eyes of the locals, as they are a rare sight, and somehow you can feel a glance of pity from them when they see other races.
